Morbidelli Museum in Pesaro Italy

With my recent journey to Italy, I stopped in to Pesaro to visit Ivan “the terrible” Zanzani, who I met through the cb1100f.net forum, along with his brother Mirko, who owns an innovative machining and custom fabrication business. Ivan brought me over to visit with Mr. Morbidelli and his VERY impressive collection of motorcycles, that displays the evolvement of technology over the last 100 years.  If you do not know of Mr Morbidelli, he was an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, that during the late 1970s and early 1980s, was particularly successful in Grand Prix motorcycle racing . The team won the 125 cc world championship in 1975, 1976, and 1977, and won the 250 cc championship in 1977. The company began as a woodworking shop building furniture and wooden coach bodies for automobiles, however his greater passion lied in motorcycles and motorcycle racing. So, he used the woodworking business to finance his racing interests.

Here is a gallery of pictures that illustrate the changes in technology over the last century, showing some of the unique features and innovations.
